LC ARCHITECTURE is available for new projects

Having graduated in 2025 with a dual qualification in interior architecture and design from LISAA – the Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués, Laurène Cottereau chose to set up her own independent practice that same year, giving shape to an approach that reflects her values: committed, collaborative and deeply human.

What she loves about her work is its diversity of approaches: moving from sketches to the construction site, from technical details to material research, and from conversations with clients to team coordination. Each stage reveals something about the space and the people who will bring it to life. Laurène draws inspiration from natural materials, changing light and lived-in spaces — places that hold a story, however subtle, and can be reinterpreted without ever losing their original character. She is drawn to spaces that feel honest and authentic, where every element has a purpose and the craftsmanship, traces of time and thoughtfulness of each intervention can be felt.

Every project begins with careful listening and a close observation of the space. Understanding what is already there, and recognising its character and potential, makes it possible to envision a meaningful and considered transformation.

Laurène approaches each space with curiosity and respect, seeking to reveal rather than erase. Her approach aims to strike a balance between design intent and functionality, aesthetics and practical use, budget and quality. The result is thoughtful, measured design in which every decision has a clear purpose. She pays particular attention to the value of what already exists: a material that can be reused, a source of natural light worth preserving, or a detail that deserves to be highlighted. These seemingly simple elements give a project its soul and create a subtle connection between a place and the people who inhabit it.

Her approach is guided by a simple conviction: a successful project does not stem from a spectacular idea, but from careful listening, a thoughtful balance and overall coherence. For Laurène, design begins with observation and understanding, alongside the desire to create meaningful projects rooted in their time and respectful of their surroundings. It means translating emotions into spaces and imagining places that tell a story with warmth and authenticity.
